I learned from my very first event the importance of using only quality cosmetic grade products. Walmart or your local craft store is not the place to go unless of coarse your local craft store carries Snazaroo which is not my favorite but is for several professional painters I know.
Here are some of the places I have found that will have what you need;
http://www.jestpaint.com/
http://www.sillyfarm.com/store/
http://www.facepaintingtips.com/
http://www.snazaroo.com/
http://us.kryolan.com/
http://www.clownantics.com/
Cautions:
* FDA has never approved ANY glitter for use around the eye but obviously turn their backs to the use of cosmetic grade glitters in eye products at least for now
NOT ALL COSMETIC GRADE GLITTERS ARE SAFE FOR USE ON SKIN there are some glitters that have the label "cosmetic grade"
that are intended for use in nail polish that are made of metal or glass, these should not me in your kit nor should craft giltter.
*You can find some good quality items on Amazon or Ebay but something to beware of is that some face paints sold here are homemade and although maybe of good quality will NOT be covered under your face painters insurance. If you see "made to order" it usually means homemade with no perservatives which is great if you are buying for a one time event and throwing the rest away but if you need your product to last more than a couple of months you should avoid it.
